An update on the status of Change Healthcare:
Change Healthcare is working towards regaining full functionality and has the following updates:
99% of Change Healthcare Pharmacy Services have been restored.
Assurance, their medical claims preparation software, is back online. Reconnection with thousands of providers has been occurring in phases. By the end of this week, the expectation is that most Assurance users will have partial functionality enabled again.
Also by the end of this week, it is expected that Change Healthcare’s largest clearinghouse, Relay Exchange, will be back online as well. Outreach for both Assurance and Relay Exchange customers began on March 15.
An option for both large health systems and smaller practices is to use the Optum Intelligent Electronic Data Interchange (iEDI). With this solution, providers can submit medical claims easily, either manually or by uploading and securely transferring larger files. The iEDI was not affected by the Change Healthcare disruption. To learn more about this solution, it is recommended to work with your client manager directly or to email Change Healthcare Client Services Assistance at client_assistance@optum.com.
